The Opportunity
The IT OperationsTeam Leader is a leadership role, providing guidance and support to a team of IT Operations Analysts. With an on-premise solution and two Data Centres, you’ll work in collaboration with the IT Ops Manager to identify improvement initiatives, develop team members, provide technical guidance and implement processes and procedures. The IT Ops team manage escalated matters, complete preventative maintenance, and task automation, enhancing the end user experience.
This role will:
- Guide on day to day technical and work related matters
- Lead and manage the team, setting expectations around delivery and performance
- Coach, develop and upskill the team
- Drive business improvement initiatives within IT Ops
- Manage critical incidents end to end
- Manage outages and create risk mitigation strategies
- Implement processes utilising ITIL foundations & DevOps
- Facilitate project transitions to operations
- Manage external vendor relationships
- Work collaboratively with IT Service Desk, ITSM, Security, Networking, Monitoring and Server groups
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Proven capability leading an IT Operations team
- Strong technical expertise leading on escalated matters, incidents, outages, preventative maintenance and enhancement activities
- Ability to navigate, influence and drive IT Operations initiatives
- Highly developed communication skills
- Knowledge of IT frameworks and best practice
