About The Role
Reporting to the Information Technology Manager for Far East Consortium in our Melbourne office, you'll be the primary point of contact for IT support and administration across a host of subsidiaries and project groups.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working in a small team you'll experience a diverse range of tasks including general IT support and administration, development of procedures and policies, through to scale deployments and user training.
The System Administrator's primary role is to ensure that IT systems operate effectively and to provide a functional endpoint platform for staff to operate with. In addition, the role will assist in project implementation, server and network deployments and is a key part of ensuring that staff and management expectations are met.
It is an expectation that the incumbent will be confident working autonomously, communicate effectively with all stakeholders, and foster excellent working relationships.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring end-point systems are performing within operational expectations.
- Maintain the IT asset registers ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Perform support and operate the Helpdesk ticketing system in accordance with SLA’s established within the IT team.
- Perform after hours maintenance and support as required by the IT Manager.
- Provide technical assistance to project teams and undertake technical project roles as required, supporting the roll-out of new applications and solutions.
- Adapt to changing organisation requirements effectively including developing/acquiring new skills, acquiring services and products, travelling interstate, liaising with external/partner organisations.
Required skills for the role:
- Self-motivated, organized, proactive, mature.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Highly analytical and logical problem solving.
Required experience:
- 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Desktop SOE configuration and support
- General office apps expertise (M365, Acrobat, etc.)
- M365 Administration (including Entra, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
- Anti-virus tools and end point security administration
- Windows Server Administration (AD, File Shares, Group Policy, DNS)
Advantageous Skills:
- Web development based on hosted WHM/cPanel and WordPress
- IP Telephony configuration and support (hosted PBX, Teams integration)
- Experience with RMM and alerting tools
- DFS management and support
