About the Role

Is a fixed term contract of 12 months. You will lead and manage day to day project requirements leveraging a virtual team, understanding business requirements and delivering projects end to end (specifically ERP system running on Netsuite) on time and within budget. Also supporting the development of best practice business process, developing test cases, and conducting business system optimisation workshops. This role will require the PM to come up with a project plan, timeline, key milestones and dates and an execution plan for the life of the project. This role is focussed on recognising return on investment in business systems, refining business process and developing end user acceptance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Monitoring
    • Take full responsibility for the project management within a significant segment of the organisation establishes the contribution that technology can make to business objectives.
    • Plans and manages tests of new/updated processes.
    • Provides guidance and advice to less experienced colleagues and users.
    • Creates projects success criteria, timeline and key milestones.
    • Project updates and reporting to the GM - IT
  • Support and drive elicitation of business processes, business operating model and requirements
    • Drives the production of models in support of business strategy. Has a good knowledge of a broad range of industry-wide modelling techniques. 
    • Able to analyse business processes and identifies alternative solution. Assesses feasibility, and recommends innovative approaches, typically seeking to exploit technology components.
  • Requirements Management & Communication
    • Defines requirements standards and quality targets for an organisation in agreement with key stakeholders like Technical BA’s, internal stakeholders.
    • Supports business change, liaises with senior stakeholders, facilitating relationships between them.
  • Enterprise Analysis
    • Plans and supports all types of evaluation. Interprets and presents the results of evaluations.
    • Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems and services. Implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
  • Requirements Analysis
    • Determines policy on discovery and documentation of requirements.
    • Is responsible for the organisation's commitment to efficient and effective analysis of textual/numerical/ visual/audio information, including processes to acquire and validate external information on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Solution Assessment & Validation
    • Carries out risk assessment within a defined functional or technical area of business. Co-ordinates the development of countermeasures and contingency plans.
    • Actively monitors for and seeks new methods and trends in IT capabilities and products to the advancement of the organisation. 
    • Coordinates and manages planning of the system and/or acceptance tests within a development or integration project or programme. Provides authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution. Manages all test processes, including test plans, resources, costs, timescales, test deliverables and traceability.

Management of multiple modules within an ERP application, including creation and maintenance of business rules and other sophisticated application configuration requirements, creation of automated workflows, creation of reports using robust report writers with relational data base backend and facilitating the creation of business processes that extend to the web.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in computing, business, science or related discipline or substantial work experience in a progressive environment demonstrating expertise in the above skills.
  • Project Management Certification in at least one of the following Prince2, Agile, Scrum, Pymbok.
  • 3 years of experience as a Project Manager or Lead
  • Familiarity with principles and methods of automated records system management and web deployment.
  • Effective communication skills – Written/Verbal/ Documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Business experience – working in diverse business processes.
  • Strong understanding of process and impact
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Change Management Experience
  • Ability to be a leader with high delivery focus
