What you will be doing:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Security Administrator to join our IT Cybersecurity & Network team in West Pennant Hills. As the IT Security Administrator, you will contribute to the formulation of specialised strategies and plans, and as required effectively and efficiently lead and implement approved strategies and plans designed to protect the corporation’s information systems. This role is critical to maintaining the security and integrity of corporate information systems and as such has a broad and potentially significant impact on operations and performance. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Contribute to delivery of information system security strategies and plans
- Perform information systems security tasks & provide specialist support
- The position holder is a member and contributor to the Information Security Steering Group and the Disaster Recovery Management Team
We would love you to have:
- Proven experience in backup and DR solutions such as Veeam backup and replication technologies
- Previous experience and understanding of patch management and vulnerability management using MS Security Centre and other Vulnerability management tools
- Demonstrated experience in penetration testing tools and understanding of Incident Response plan
- Demonstrated experience of MS O365, Azure AD, EPM cloud solutions as well as on-prem Active Directory solutions
- Understanding of Microsoft system centre (SCCM, SCOM), firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS, system event and Active Directory monitoring tools, backup software
- Demonstrated knowledge of information security principles and standards from public organizations such as ACSC, NIST, ISCACA or SABSA
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well across teams and organizations, including interactions with senior level executives
- Robust organizational skills - ability to plan and prioritize work, meet standards and deadlines, and demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptive, and resilient in a fast-changing environment
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, cyber security, or a related field
