It Security Administrator

The main objective of this position is to aid in developing tailored strategies and plans, and when necessary, effectively oversee and run authorised strategies and plans aimed at safeguarding the company's information systems. This role is pivotal in upholding the security and reliability of corporate information systems, thus potentially influencing operations and performance in a substantial manner.
Key Areas of Responsibility

• Identify security vulnerabilities and propose solutions to enhance information system security and mitigate risks to corporation operations.
• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of information systems security policies, procedures, and standards for consistent governance and risk minimisation.
• Run tasks assigned by the Cyber Security and Networks Manager to maintain the integrity of corporation information systems.
• Oversee organisational backup procedures in line with Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery policies.
• Configure security systems, assess security needs, and propose enhancements.
• Proficient in Incident Response Planning and monitoring internal systems for security incidents.
• Manage endpoint patching to deploy latest security updates and maintain internal resource defences.

Skills and Experience

• Established proficiency with backup solutions like Veeam backup and replication technologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in vulnerability management utilizing tools such as MS Security Center and other vulnerability management platforms.
• Proven experience in conducting internal and external penetration testing with tools like Kali and Parrot OS.
• Demonstrated familiarity with MS O365, Azure AD, EPM cloud solutions, as well as on-premises Active Directory solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft System Center (SCCM, SCOM), firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS, system event monitoring tools, and backup software.
• Sound understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, routers, switches, and firewalls. Please note to be successful you must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.
