AddressCyber Security Engineer

6-Month Contract
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network security guardrails measures to protect against unauthorised access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and security breaches, promptly responding to incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in network infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into network architecture and infrastructure projects.
- Implement and manage guardrails, ensuring that network configurations adhere to security policies and guidelines.
- Stay up to date with the latest Cyber Security trends, threats, and technologies, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills to effectively address evolving challenges.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in network Security Engineering in complex or large scale networks.
- Experience in implementing and managing guardrails to enforce security policies and configurations.
- Expertise with CISCO Network technologies
- Experience in implementing public cloud network policies. (Azure or AWS)
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other security technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCNA Security, or equivalent are highly desirable
