Purpose:
Responsible for the planning, implementation and ongoing management of security programs that protect MBSO (Mizuho Bank Sydney Office) from cyber security threats. Provide first point of contact for end users regarding IT security matters. Continuously review and apply security governance and security reporting to IT Management and ISO.
Core responsibilities of the role are:
- To deliver a consistently high level of IT Security threat prevention, IT Security patch updates without affecting IT service delivery to the Branch end users.
- Understand and navigate through the Bank’s current security systems and processes to ensure IT security standards are in line with banking standards.
- IT Security Governance – create and update IT Security procedures, manage and execute threat scenario testing, evidence gathering and threat prevention & manage IT security compliance.
- Responsible for security in relation to critical Payment system quarterly checks and payment token/certificate reviews.
- Responsible for IT vulnerability management and security threat prevention of all information assets, ensure continued patch management of systems, infrastructure and applications from security perspective.
- Creation and execution of internal security tabletop exercises and internal security evidence reviews.
- IT Incident, Change and Release management in relation to Security reviews during IT CAB meeting.
- Manage all IT Security Issues/problems in line with Mizuho IT Security principles.
- Execute Application system updates/patches/new releases based on internal IT requests

Required experience, skills or qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary education or IT related security certification or working experience in IT Security.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of security standards within IT Operations, Software
- Demonstrated management of security related configuration.
- Excellent Windows Operating System knowledge.
