About the Role

The Information Security Manager supports the Australian business by ensuring technology, applications and data are appropriately protected from cyber- and information-security threats.

With a newly hired Head of Technology, they have a strong mandate to mature the local technology landscape and a key focus to develop the cyber maturity. You will be responsible for outlining the necessary controls, policies, and standards to protect data and information assets.

Skills & Experience

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• A background driving the delivery of an enterprise security strategy and program of initiatives to ensure the business has the cybersecurity foundations required to confidently deliver on its business goals and objectives;
• Experience in establishing and managing the IT Security capabilities required to ensure information assets and associated technology, applications, systems, infrastructure and processes are adequately protected;
• The ability to provide regular reporting on the current status of Information Security, highlighting any key insights and subsequent recommendations;
• Experience developing, implementing and monitoring a comprehensive business-wide Information Security program to ensure appropriate levels of confidentiality, integrity, availability, safety, privacy and recovery of information assets owned, controlled or/and accessed by the business; and
• Experience being the SME for Information Security across the business (including external vendors) to ensure consistent and high-quality IT Security practices and Information Security management in support of business goals.
