The role
We are currently on the lookout for a full time IT Service Desk Analyst to join our Abbotsford office with the ability to work flexibly.
Development is important to us at Joval and we are looking for someone who is curious and motivated to develop themselves further. The technology services team is tight knit team and you can expect to build some great relationships and learn from each other. The IT Service Desk Analyst is a multifunctional role and supports staff both on site and remotely to ensure IT support is delivered within agreed service levels. The role is the primary contact for IT support within the business and also has exposure to Office 365 & the desktop environment.
This role also provides support to the Systems Engineering team and Infrastructure Manager and is a good opportunity to get exposure to systems engineering within Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all support request calls are properly logged and prompt action is taken to resolve system problems, either directly or by escalation of the problem as required.
- Undertaking basic installation and configuration of software and hardware as required.
- Recording and maintaining asset and purchase details for existing and new IT related equipment.
- Working with and educating staff on the Companies systems & supporting induction of new employees.
- Liaising with technical personnel at Joval technology partners and suppliers.
- Maintaining the standard operating environment, both hardware and software, by complying with Company requirements and standards.
- Documenting procedures of regular IT processes and tasks in the agreed knowledge management system
- Managing mobile phone & mobile data service fleet as required.
- Actively contribute as team member by assisting the Technology Services Department achieve its goals and objectives.
What we're looking for
- Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Azure (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900)
- Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Office 365 (Microsoft 365 Certified MS-900)
- Understanding of networking principles within an MPLS environment
- Solid understanding of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL
- 1+ Years of working in a technical role within a corporate enterprise IT environment.
- 1+ Years of working with Microsoft Office 365 applications, Active Directory and Group Policy
- 1+ Years of providing Level 1 technical support.
- Great customer service – ability to provide excellent support and understand needs of the user
