About the IT Officer role:
Reporting to the Business Data, Integrity & protection Manager, this role will be instrumental in supporting the organisation's IT infrastructure, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support and training, ensuring data security, contributing to IT strategic initiatives and driving continuous improvement in IT processes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide internal IT hardware support, including setting up and configuring laptops, desktops, printers and other hardware devices for new employees;
- Assist employees with installing, configuring and troubleshooting software applications used within the organisation;
- Assist in evaluating and selecting IT service providers based on organisational needs and budget constraints;
- Deploy new equipment, software applications and technology solutions across the organisation;
- Schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks on IT assets, including monitoring system performance and proactively identifying potential issues or vulnerabilities;
- Participate in cross-functional IT projects, providing technical expertise and support as needed;
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware assets and develop and deliver training sessions on IT tools, systems and best practices; and
- Coordinate with HR and department heads to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet project deadlines;
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations, maintaining productivity and professionalism;
- Respect for confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information; and
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
