Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your IT career. As our IT Support Officer, you will be the frontline for our retail and wholesale operations, providing remote assistance for computer, application, and telecommunication issues. Your diverse responsibilities will include supporting Head Office and remote locations, collaborating with external providers on complex matters, and assisting Systems Support with maintenance and projects.
We are looking for someone with abilities to:
- Provide face-to-face and remote IT support to troubleshoot hardware, network, and software issues
- Monitor systems and provide Level 1-2 technical support
- Have at least 1 year of experience providing end user support in a similar role
- Assist with implementing and supporting network infrastructure
- Demonstrate expertise in resolving Windows PC and desktop support issues
- Provide basic printer troubleshooting and maintenance
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Manage tickets and requests within agreed SLAs and KPIs
- Coordinate with third party vendors for additional support
- Escalate tickets in a timely manner and follow up on open issues
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff
- Analyse issues to understand business impact and priorities
- Work collaboratively within an IT team environment to meet deadlines
- Configure IT systems and devices hands-on
- Administer, support, and document systems, databases, networks, and web applications
- Perform system administration tasks like backups, user accounts, and server monitoring
- Install hardware and software and train end users
- Provide hands-on management of IT infrastructure
- Support designing and implementing network infrastructure
- Collaborate with vendors on software enhancements
- Support Windows, Apple, and other devices
- Manage Office 365, Intune, Defender, and other cloud services
- Administer Windows servers and related infrastructure
- Manage voice/telephony services and mobile device deployment
- Administer Cisco/HP network switches and Cisco wireless networks
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Provide desktop and laptop support
- Expert in OS deployment, imaging, and troubleshooting
- Previous experience in an educational or large corporate environment a plus
- Plan, deploy and manage PCs, tablets, phones, and other devices
- Deliver end user training sessions and collaborate with stakeholders
- Create technical documentation as needed
