An exciting opportunity exists for an IT Support Officer to join the Information Technology team at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal. The role works within the Business Improvement Unit and represents the first point of contact for DBCT P/L employees experiencing problems with IT hardware, systems and processes. Working as part of the IT team in a collaborative manner, you will contribute to the team’s core objective of providing high quality IT support and consulting services to the broader Company.
What we are looking for:
- Someone who is proactive and possesses excellent organisational skills to coordinate IT service support requirements.
- Provision of first level help desk triaging and effectively prioritise, respond, and escalate incidents and requests in a busy enterprise environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues and problems.
- Maintain accurate records of problems and solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Someone who takes pride in the quality of their work and shows a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into a comprehensible format.
Ideally you will have:
- Knowledge and understanding of a Windows Server/Workstation environment, Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange, Virtualisation Technologies, TCP/IP fundamentals.
- Experience managing user access permissions and privileges effectively.
- An understanding of contemporary information security standards and best practices.
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, or experience in a similar role.
