Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: AMI) (‘Aurelia’) is an Australian gold and base metals mining and exploration company. We own and operate two underground mines and processing facilities in New South Wales (NSW) and have an enviable portfolio of organic growth prospects in the region.
Our Peak Mine comprises several underground polymetallic (gold, lead, zinc, copper, and silver) and an 800 thousand tonnes per annum (ktpa) processing plant. The Mine is located in the northern Cobar Basin in western NSW, a short distance from the historical town of Cobar.

The Role
Joining Aurelia Metals Limited as the onsite IT System Specialist with a knack for innovation and problem solving. This pivotal role provides Level 1 and Level 2 IT support across three key mines within the Cobar region, encompassing the Peak and Federation sites. As an integral member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of a wide range of hardware, software, network, and communication systems. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of our surface and underground activities, maintaining the integrity of IT, Operational Technology, and communication services, especially following power disruptions.

Nestled just 8 kilometres away from the tranquil Cobar township lies our Peak Mine Site. While we highly encourage and offer comprehensive support for relocation to this local haven, we also understand the need for flexibility:
Roster: For candidates seeking flexible work arrangements, our roster comprises an 8 days on, 6 days off schedule. We provide FIFO options from Brisbane via charter flight, or DIDO alternatives for those residing in neighbouring regions. Accommodation is provided, ensuring a comfortable and convenient worklife balance for our team
Key Responsibilities
- Tier 1 & 2 Support: Efficiently handle customer support, set up and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networks at Peak and Federation sites.
- Work closely with IT and OT vendors for swift issue resolution and service requests.
- Quickly restore services after disruptions, ensuring continuous operations.
- Prioritise and escalate issues for timely resolution, reducing downtime.
- Regularly check communication gear between sites for optimal performance.
- Keep networks running smoothly with regular housekeeping and rewiring.
- Setup and terminate user access, ensuring secure and efficient transitions.
- Manage Active Directory, ensuring alignment with governance and audit standards.
- Take on IT projects, driving departmental goals forward.
- Promote IT policy awareness and cybersecurity training among staff.
About You
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with unlimited working rights
- Hold a relevant qualification in IT/related field or 4+ years in IT infrastructure/support.
- Experienced in supporting remote operations on a set roster.
- Skilled in setting up, configuring, and maintaining IT systems and networks.
- Adept at troubleshooting and solving complex problems.
- Knowledgeable in business systems and application support.
- Experienced with communication equipment and patch panel management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication talents.
- Flexible and able to adapt to swiftly changing priorities.
- Customer service-oriented with a drive for results and a quick action mindset.
- Possess a current “C” Class driver's license.
