About the Role:
We are a leading supplier of Screen Media for Mineral Processing and have a new opening for a technically minded Product Support Specialist to join our Manufacturing & Production team on Brisbane's South Side, Queensland. This role involves managing product information within the system, supporting sales and operations teams, setting up new product items and bill of materials, managing costings and catalogues, and facilitating communications related to products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skillset for understanding production processes, manufacturing, reading drawings, and working accurately with data entry and analysis.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of production processes
- Ability to read drawings
- Proficient in data entry and analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems (CRM experience is a plus)
- Wanting to make a difference, and be part of our continuous improvement program MEP
- Attention to detail
Product Data Management:
- Create item numbers for finished parts, raw materials, or components
- Creation of Bills of Materials (BOMS) for manufactured finished items
- Create routings for the manufacturing steps
- Maintain shop floor Calendar maintenance lead time rollup
- Coordinate quotations for new items to maintain standard costs
- Update component costs
- Continuously update master data
Product Line support responsibilities:
- Assist with team enquiries, quotations, and proposals
- Expedite internal and external customer sales orders
- Set and review safety stocks
- Utilize ERP systems effectively
- Participate in meetings
Qualifications:
- A Technical or Engineering background would be highly regarded
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems
- Solid understanding of production processes
