Working in one of Australia's most picturesque regions with breathtaking beauty and diverse surrounds and working in small, nimble teams you’ll be supporting our systems (both applications and hardware) that services entire Health Districts, Hospitals, Multi-site clinics, Universities and other organisations across Australia and overseas. You'll be supporting solutions that form a critical part of delivering enterprise patient care, patient referral management platforms and business productivity solutions. Working in a purpose built facility you will join an innovative team in a fresh, open environment.

You will be the first point of contact for field enquiries, assisting with troubleshooting and preliminary advice on the repair of hardware / software issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provision of exceptional telephone support to all clients and assisting with troubleshooting and resolution of hardware/software problems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application and hardware issues.
  • Maintaining close contact and developing strong relationships with customers, to ensure the company meets its customer's service expectations.
  • Be conscious of time billing, work effectively and efficiently and maintain communication file notes.
  • Work as part of the Service Desk team, supporting other team members and sharing knowledge and learning.
  • Assisting with installation and deployment of products in a timely manner with participation in the development and contribution to project documentation for each major installation as required.
  • Occasional travel - predominantly locally and interstate with possibly some international travel.
  • Participation in the preventative maintenance schedules and making proactive calls.

The role requires a person who is customer focused, technically smart, responsive and with an excellent telephone manner.

We expect candidates to have relevant work experience, and demonstrate a sound knowledge of commercial hardware/software systems.

Skill requirements include:

  • Good computer literacy with Windows 10, Server 2019 & SQL 2019, & HyperV knowledge, networking and internet Browsers & connectivity issues. 
  • High level of initiative and good problem solving aptitude.
  • Goal and results orientated, and enjoys a challenge.
  • Advanced PC literacy with Windows 10/11 and MS Office.
  • Experience servicing remote users.
  • Excellent interpersonal, sound English and written skills.
  • High level of initiative and good problem solving aptitude.
  • Goal and results orientated, with ability to work unsupervised.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Australian Residency.

Desirable skills:

  • Exposure to ICT healthcare environment.
  • Microsoft SQL experience (desirable).
  • Recognised qualifications.
  • Experience supporting systems remotely and onsite.
  • Experience with computer networks, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches.
  • Experience with MS Server and exposure to Active Directory.
  • HPE Server hardware build and configuration in MS Windows Server environment.
  • Exposure to SAN based technologies and Microsoft Windows clustering and virtualization.
  • Exposure to Web-based technologies and concepts.
  • Exposure or studies in areas of computer software and/or systems engineering.

Participate in the paid remote a/h roster usually once every 4 weeks to accommodate the rare urgent incident.
