It Technician

Norris & Hyde IT is a leading privately-owned Information & Technology company providing a diverse range of IT support & sales to commercial & private customers throughout the Mid West, based in Geraldton Western Australia. The Opportunity

An opportunity is now available for a highly focused, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team of IT technicians on a full time (at least 38 hours per week), on a permanent, fulltime basis.

You will be paid a minimum base salary of $70,000.00 per year + an additional 11% superannuation.

Main duties

·         Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for individual or business customers.

·         Maintain and enhance existing client relationships by providing consistent and responsive support and a professional level of service. 

·         Advising and assisting clients with IT related purchases.

·         Provide support to a wide range of clients and being their first point of contact for helpdesk resolution.

·         Troubleshoot and maintain network environments.

·         Provide Printer and Multifunctional support including maintenance repairs.

·         Remote support to individual and business customers.

·         Installing and maintaining operating systems on desktop’s and notebook PC’s.

·         Data recovery and restore.

·         Installing and maintaining Microsoft Office packages and Microsoft 365 tenancies

·         Active Directory users and computer support for business domains.

·         Antivirus management and virus removal.

Job Requirements:

The successful applicant will possess:

·         At least 2 years Desktop support knowledge with individual and business customers.

·         Previous experience in a fast paced environment with the ability to multitask and complete multiple support requests with competing priorities

·         Excellent written and English spoken with a pleasant and effective phone manner

·         Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

·         Motivation and drive to achieve outcomes on time and to the highest standard

·         A current driver’s license
