Maintenance Technicians - Rommelag - Blow Fill Seal - Bausch & Stroebel

At NovaCina Perth we manufacture lifesaving medicines. Not only do these medicines help Australian patients and their families, but we also ship them to 98 countries around the globe.
We have multiple BLOW FILL SEAL filling lines, principally ROMMELAG or Bausch Stroebel brands, as well as utilising a range of automation systems including collaborative robots; advanced vision systems; sterile injectable filling machines and advanced autoclaves. These all need to be supported by a wide-ranging infrastructure including boilers, HVAC, stills, Building Management Systems and compressors. Underpinning all of these systems is a highly trained team of technicians that work within the required GMP framework, to the highest safety standards to ensure the patients we support are getting the highest quality product.
We are looking for technically competent candidates that have experience working within a process driven manufacturing environment.
You will play a critical part in undertaking both the requisite planned maintenance activities, troubleshooting/resolving breakdowns and also deploying best-practice long term solutions to increase reliability.
You are recognized as a subject matter expert with specialized knowledge and skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. You will be entrusted with adapting standard methods and procedures by applying your knowledge, prior work experience and requirements. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.
Candidates will be required to work on a rotating day/night shift-roster within a team of mechanical/electrical skilled technicians. The roster is two 12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts, 5 days off and then another 2-day shifts and 3-night shifts followed by 4 days off. Then the cycle repeats itself. This cycle guarantees that every month you will have 2 weekends work free. Additionally, this package offers 5 weeks of paid leave every year as well as health insurance, salary continuance insurance and an annual bonus scheme.

To be successful you must possess:
- 5+ years work experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Electrician.
- Experience with automation equipment and utilities within a process environment.
- Demonstrated well-developed fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Well-developed time management and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work in a small team without close supervision.
- Customer focus with good communication skills.
- Be physically fit.
Further experience in any of the following areas will provide you with a distinct advantage:
- Trade Certificate in Mechanical or Maintenance Fitting
- Restricted electrical license.
- Working in a GMP environment, including clean rooms.
- Computerized maintenance management systems.
- Robotic systems and packaging equipment
- Experience of condition-based monitoring.
- Instrumentation and calibration.
