Our client, a leading Japanese company is seeking a Japanese Speaking Accountant, focusing on tax. This role will suit for an individual with strong accounting knowledge.
Description
The key responsibilities and duties:
Tax and accounting
- Prepare documents necessary for tax related applications
- Update regulations regarding taxation and accounting
- Oversees tax compliance & remedial activities
- Implement daily, monthly, quarterly and annually operations related to accounting and taxation
- Operate and manage accounting system
- Troubleshoot regarding tax and accounting matters
- Support external audits and prepare financial statements
Risk Management
- Support liquidity risk management by calculating cash flow
- Update and improve cash flow sheet
Management Accounting
- Prepare and monitor expense budget plan
- Prepare expense payment
- Prepare monthly management accounting
Reporting
- Prepare regulatory reports and submit to authorities
- Update the regulatory requirements and manage the reporting system
- Prepare regular reports to the parent bank
- Answer inquiries from authorities and the parent bank
IT
- Develop and support data management
Others
- Educate and support junior staff to work
- Renew policies and procedures
- Communicate and work closely with other department
- Provide support regarding compliance matters
- Support and back up other local staff (including other departments)
Profile
In order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths:
- Experience in accounting
- Japanese language skill is a must.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with various stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
