Junior Accountant - Fixed Assets

About Our Client
My client is a well known family run business operating a collection of experiences around Australia located in South Melbourne. This role will play an integral part in developing the Fixed Assets function within the business.
Job Description
The Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Ownership of the end to end recording, valuation and depreciation of Fixed Assets across the Group utilising Sage Intacct
• Reviewing and updating current fixed asset registers
• Undertake fixed asset stocktakes where relevant
• Ensuring appropriate processes are in place for ongoing timely maintenance of the fixed asset registers
• Identifying errors and making process improvements
• Identifying and escalating any relevant issues to management
• Sharing knowledge with each entity's finance team

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have the following:

• Previous experience working with Fixed Assets accounting and auditing
• Ability to identify errors problem solve
• Experience working with Sage Intacct - highly desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with various stakeholders
• High attention to detail and organisational skills
