Exciting opportunity for a bright, highly motivated Assistant Buyer, eager to enhance their experience and looking for career growth. Reporting to the Procurement Team Lead and supporting the General Manager Operations your duties include:
- Administration support and tasks i.e. data entry and analysis, research, maintenance of spreadsheets, reports, filing, etc.
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders including buyers, warehouse, suppliers, both local and overseas
- Managing quotation email inbox, quote administrative tasks and quotation status.
- Processing quote data into master data file.
- Handling the releasing of Requests for Quotation (RFQ) from procurement to potential bidders, as directed by buyer.
- Monitor and follow up on quotes and manage quotation tracking sheet.
- Working with the procurement team member and internal customers to improve RFQ on Time KPI.
- Post contract award administration to ensure all contract terms are satisfied.
- Support material controller team expedition if required.
- Utilising in-house software i.e. Pronto, Crystal Reports, Workfront (training provided).
- Various adhoc duties as required.
- Reliable, punctual, motivated with a ‘can do’, attitude.
- Maintain positive relationships, both internal and external.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer literacy: Intermediate MS Office skills i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, data entry.
- Able to multitask and effectively prioritise and coordinate workflow to complete tasks within time constraints.
- Able to work autonomously.
- Proactive approach to all tasks; customer-focused.
- High attention to detail.
