Casa Esquina is a newly opened Argentinian, 200 seater restaurant on a corner block in leafy Balmain. Boasting a new bespoke charcoal and wood-fire parrilla, dry aged meat room and extensive wine list. Atticus Hospitality group consists of Casa Esquina, Esteban and Tequila Mockingbird. Our Directors have a long personal history in the service industry and have built the company from the ground up. Our Team is dedicated to crafting exceptional experiences that exceed expectations. At our core, we believe that good food and great beverage brings people together and creates lasting memories - and it’s this belief that drives everything we do.
Qualifications & experience
- WSET level 3 or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience as a sommelier (preferred)
Tasks & responsibilities
- Work along side the Head Sommelier to run & grow the wine program, with a focus on South American wines, both white and red
- Contribute to the growing wine list of 130+ wines
- Influence guest experience with personable and warm wine service
- Write and execute wine training sessions to the wider FOH team
- Independently run a wine section
- On select evenings, lead the restaurant’s wine service, as well as guiding the wider team
