We are seeking a Junior Engineer to join our Fuels & Energy division. Work location will be in Hastings, Victoria but with potential to work at Gippsland or Melbourne upon rotation. These roles will be supported and mentored by our Engineering and Leadership team.
About You
To be considered for the role you will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- 1-3 years of post-graduate experience preferred, although this is not essential
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience applying engineering principles, relevant standards, and requirements to real-world engineering solutions
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as reports, documentation, and presentations
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and understand project control concepts including forecasting
- Experience required in identification and valuation of variations, preparation of progress claims
- Exercising professional judgement in resolving engineering issues, i.e., construction methods, design, engineering procedures, etc.
- Undertaking cost controlling and estimating as required
- Proficient in Microsoft – Word, Excel
- High regard for Safety
- High levels of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Great time management skills
- Ability to work within a team and unsupervised
- Involvement with the front end of work planning and preparation
- Rotates between planning and scheduling function and the engineering team
- Involvement in scoping and estimating
- Planning and preparation of work scopes and work pack development
- Involvement in procurement and subcontractor coordination
- Exposure to commercial aspects of the work being delivered
- Scheduling of the work scopes
- Overall assistance in the successful coordination of maintenance, campaigns, and shutdowns.
