The Role
An opportunity has opened for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our finance team. Reporting to a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be a part of the JB Hi-Fi financial accounting team who are responsible for the JB Australia and JB New Zealand businesses.
In this role, you will be working alongside a team of qualified accountants and will be responsible for key month end tasks in the monthly reporting process.
Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for key items in the P&L
• Maintenance of car fleet records this will involve liasing with store operations/teams
• Preparation of monthly accruals and journal entries
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Analysis of the monthly P&L to ensure accuracy of month end reporting
• Adhoc Invoice raising
• Supplier maintenance
• Assist with monthly rent payments for all JB Hi-Fi stores, Warehouses and Support Office in Australia and New Zealand
• Assistance with tax compliance tasks (e.g. FBT)
• Assistance with statutory reporting
• Any other tasks and projects as required by management

Preferred Experience:

• Accounting Degree or close to completion
• Experience using a large ERP system is ideal but not essential
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office
• Experienced in data entry and processing high volumes of data accurately
• A high degree of analytical skills and attention to detail so that you can manage complexity
• A highly motivated self-starter, able to work in a team environment and to tight deadlines
• Shows personal commitment to self development
• Readily takes action on challenges
