What is the role?

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Junior Financial Accountant will support both the Global Financial Controller and Senior Director of Finance in global financial management and reporting, actively contributing towards the financial planning and strategic growth of the organisation.

Key duties include:

• Review/complete Global Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations;
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS Statements and Payroll Tax
• Review and reconciliation of inter company balances and transactions
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial processes and systems
• Support the Global Financial Controller with regulatory compliance requirements such as external audit, FBT, transfer pricing and income tax.
• Support the Global Financial Controller with the Internal Audit Testing and reporting on results and findings.
• Support Monthly Management Reporting, including analysis of these reports and providing insights to the FP&A Manager and Global Financial Controller;
• Support the preparation of Annual Budgets and Monthly Forecasting;
• Partner with the global team to develop annual budgets and working with the team to manage and monitor actuals and forecast against budget
• Ensure month end journals, work papers and reconciliations are timely and accurate
• Ad hoc financial and commercial reporting as the business requires
• Participate in special finance projects as required, in particular the ERP

Who are you?

You could be our Junior Financial Accountant!

With 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within an FMCG or beauty brand (advantageous), you have a keen interest and excitement for the beauty category backed by a bachelor’s degree in accounting/ finance, and your CA/CPA (advantageous).

You have strong time and project management skills and can thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment. You have intermediate excel skills and enjoy analysing information with your detailed approach and financial acumen.

You are hyper organised with strong business partnering skills – you can clearly express ideas, information, and updates to key internal and external stakeholders, collaborating and negotiating effectively to manage expectations and ensure financial excellence.

With a strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and experience using Xero, you are a detailed oriented, motivated, results driven, personable and reliable team member who enjoys working toward and contributing to a broader goal and purpose.
