Position Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Lawyer to join the team and under supervision work across a broad range of work including general litigation, criminal, family, employment and property law as well as general commercial and corporate law matters. Graduate lawyers may also apply and experience is not essential, however, will be well regarded.
About you:
We are looking for passionate, strong and astute individuals. You need to be able to work as part of a team, however, also individually. Let us be clear, we do not require a high distinction average from university.
We require a skill set that goes much beyond the academic only. The best lawyers are practical, they know how to pick up the pieces and can work under pressure. A lawyer’s job is dynamic, it is not merely about writing advice, going to court, or even just counselling.
A Lawyer in the modern age takes on many responsibilities and obligations, one only needs to look to the solicitors rules. However, this same person can make a difference and in the right atmosphere will do so.
To succeed at Banga Legal in this role you will:
- be eager to develop your own skillset across a broad range of matters
- have previous experience in a corporate environment
- be willing to be proactive, ask questions and curious
- be reliable and trustworthy in relation to conducting work independently;
- be able to work both independently and as part of a team;
- have an attention to detail;
- have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal sensitively and confidentially with clients;
- have a professional manner;
- familiar with technology in particular MS Office suite of tools
- Demonstrate values such as creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to challenge conventional practices, while also recognizing the importance of hard work and dedication.
