Live - What you will do
We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Lawyer/Paralegal to join our Sydney-based Legal team. This newly created position reports to the Director, Legal & Company Secretary and is a part-time (3 days a week), 12-month contract role. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Legal Director & Company Secretary, provide legal support to draft/review/edit legal documents prior to execution and research legal issues relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn and contribute to the Legal Department of a global biotechnology leader.
Key Responsibilities include:
Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents including contracts prior to execution
Assist in drafting correspondence and responses with meticulous detail
Conduct research on legal issues relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
Implement new processes and procedures to streamline workflow
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Liaise and communicate effectively with employees when assisting with legal matters

Completed a legal degree in NSW or a paralegal course with strong academic results
Prior experience as a Graduate Solicitor/Paralegal (1-2 years)
Availability to work part-time (3 days per week)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and strong focus on quality of work
Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite of products
Residency and Work rights in Australia essential
