South Coast Baptist College is seeking dedicated and passionate educators to fill three vacant teaching positions in its Primary School for Semester 2 of 2024. These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to the academic, spiritual, and social development of our students in our Junior Primary years. Successful candidates will join a collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality education within a supportive Christian environment.
Positions: 3 Available positions till the conclusion of 2024 with possibility of extension.
- Pre-Primary – Term 3, 2024: This position is a 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) role for Term 3 of 2024, covering Long Service Leave.
- Year 1 - Terms 3 & 4, 2024: This position is either part-time or full-time, covering Maternity Leave.
- Pre-Primary Term 3 & 4, 2024: This position is either part-time or full-time, covering Maternity Leave.
Position Requirements:
- Suitable qualifications in education, including a Primary Teaching Diploma and Bachelor's degree in Education (4-year qualification).
- Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.
- Strong communication skills and ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Effective planning and programming skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with restorative behaviour management approaches.
- Knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Experience with Compass database for student information management.
- Ability to differentiate teaching styles to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Essential Criteria:
- To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
- To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
- Work to ensure personal best practice.
- Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
- Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- First Aid certificate is desirable.
- Working With Children Card.
