Junior Production Controller

Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge, wishes to appoint a Junior Production Controller to support the efficient daily workings of the production department.
Working as part of a small team, this role involves managing the production of reprint titles including: requesting print quotations, generating costings and purchase orders, scheduling, managing corrections and archiving of files, ensuring titles come in according to agreed budgets, specifications and schedules, and assisting with other production tasks as required.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, highly organised person with
- sound organisational skills and a team orientation
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
Excellent computer skills, including a knowledge of InDesign, Acrobat and Photoshop, is preferable, as is completion of a tertiary publishing course and/or some experience in the book publishing industry.
