Position Summary
Working on some of the most iconic global and local confectionary brands such as Kit Kat, Milkybar, Allen's and Smarties, you will be joining the largest Food and Beverage Company in the world.
A fantastic opportunity exists for a Junior Product Technologist to join the Applications team based in our Campbellfield Factory. In this full-time permanent role, you will work with the Product Applications team on the development and commercialisation of new products and renovate existing products in accordance with the strategic marketing plans.
A day in the life…
Reporting to the Product Technologist, key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Support a cross functional team to deliver innovation and renovation of projects as required by the business, incorporating consumer insight and feedback. Ensure products are launched on time and to agreed cost targets and quality.
- Conduct food safety, health and safety and environmental assessments for projects as required.
- Participate in sensory evaluations for new & current products and evaluate competitor's products.
- Ensure required standards for product / packaging meet all aspects of internal and external standards for Regulatory and Food Safety compliance.
- Ensure data / specifications are maintained in SAP and other internal / external compliance systems.
- You will be a strong team player with a drive to deliver quality outcomes with efficiency and with a passion for continuous process improvement.
- Enjoy working within cross-functional teams in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently and be proactive and results focused.
- Tertiary Qualified in Food Science / Technology / Packaging / BSc Material Science.
- 1+ years' experience in Food Manufacturing Industry in Product Development.
- Previous experience and familiarity working with SAP preferred.
- A working understanding of Australian Food Regulations is beneficial.
