Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for the management of the NSW Government’s social housing portfolio.
About the Role
They are currently seeking a Place Manager to join their growing team in Waterloo with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This an estimated 12month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within Partnerships & Communications Unit, you will play a pivotal role in building and fostering stakeholder relationships in a complex project environment to help create spaces on the Waterloo Estate, where people feel connected, included and valued. This role will enhance collaboration and coordination of activity in the area by working in partnership with tenants, service providers, NGO’s and government agencies to support the delivery of the Waterloo Renewal Project.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the Waterloo Renewal Project, Waterloo South People and Place Plan and Waterloo Human Services Group
- Undertake community engagement, participation and involvement activities across the region, establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships
- Partner with tenants, service providers, NGO’s and government agencies to enhance collaboration and coordination of activity within the Waterloo area
- Build rapport to identify all stakeholder needs
- Oversee and manage all aspects of stakeholder engagement planning, development and implementation for a range of projects
- Provide advice and expertise to stakeholders on emerging project issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement strategies
- Ensure compliance with governance, best practice and legislative requirements
About You
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels
- Professional, confident and resilient
- Solid analytical, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years Community Engagement experience
- Proven experience with Residential Housing Development OR infrastructure projects
- Local Government and Planning experience advantageous
- Awareness of statutory processes and maintaining up to date knowledge
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
