Job Summary
Due to recent growth, CSEG is currently seeking a graduate to Junior Structural engineer to join our team. The role is seeking a candidate with at least 1 year of experience in Structural Design and documentation for low and medium-density developments. The role is autonomous and includes Structural Design and Autocad drafting of your projects.
This role is ideally suited to a degree qualified Civil/Structural Engineer with experience 1 - 2 years experience (minimum) in a consultancy background. To be suitable for this position you must:
- be able to independently produce Structural Design and documentation including drafting and calculation for low to medium-density residential developments.
- have a wide understanding of the Australian Standard, Building Code, and the National Construction Code.
- Be efficient in Timber, Steel, and Concrete Design utilizing suitable design software for a range of Structures.
- Perform Structural Design drafting utilizing AUTOCAD (essential).
- Independently utilize Structural Design Software such as RAPT, Inducta, Microstran, DesignIt etc. Experience in other software will be considered.
- Independently perform site inspections and issue design rectification reports and certificates.
- Excellent communication and project management skills both verbal and written.
- Motivated to learn and teach oneself and assist in the growth of the structural division.
- Prepare design and remedial reports.
- Collaborate with architects, builders, and other professionals.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to be innovative.
