Junior/Assistant Accountant

Your Business Angels Group is an Australian owned and operated Accounting and Consulting company that specialises in providing accounting and compliance, consultancy and excellent ongoing support to SME’s and other businesses that make up the “Heart Land” of Australian business. 

We are currently seeking a Junior/Assistant Accountant to join our team.

We are looking for the right character, someone who is ready to “get their hands dirty right from the start. Yes, you will have the “debit and credits” to do, work on BAS and getting tax returns right, but you will also work at the coal face with clients and side by side with the consultants in the company, this is a job you will “fill your boots” very quickly with meaningful experience.

This is a permanent opportunity, where you will take ownership and accountability in a short time to support the clients assigned to you, work with client coordinators helping them solve problems for those clients and seeking the other resources in our company to bring our clients a better business and value for the fees they pay.

We have strong level of induction and training and will work with you to upskill and help you develop further skills. We have internal training and support additional education for all staff.

You will be responsible for, however, not limited to the following tasks.

• Be committed to learn and use the skills you already have. To make every day a day of learning and contribution.
• Be able to work with the tax agents and senior accountants in the company to have a smooth and continuous completion of work. Learn from these great people and take up their skills.
• Be able to identify problems and issues that require further training with our support team of bookkeeper and instigate training if required.
• Be client focused, be happy to communicate with clients via phone and meet our outbound goals.
• Contribute to our “fast growing” business with ideas and experience you have from working with our clients.
