Key Account Manager - Global Food Ingredient Manufacturer

Job Description Company: Established in the early 1900s, my client is an esteemed international group offering a diverse range of innovative products, raw materials, and application expertise in the bakery, patisserie, and chocolate sectors. They now seek a skilled KAM for their Sydney location.
Job Details: They are currently seeking a skilled Key Account Manager with a background in the food industry and a proven track record of selling into some B2B/Industrial manufacturing clients but more so through Retail Channels. This role is pivotal in developing profitable sales and establishing strong, long-term partnerships with Key Accounts, including renowned retailers such as Woolworths, Costco, and Bakers Delight.
Key Tasks:

• Develop and implement a strategic development plan for national accounts in collaboration with the business development team.
• Conduct regular customer meetings and participate in account steering committee meetings.
• Maintain and update a central customer project list.
• Conduct yearly general account reviews internally and, if possible, with the assigned accounts.
• Coordinate and negotiate sales deals, working closely with headquarters and intercompany as needed.
• Monitor sales results and implement corrective actions if necessary.
• Report progress regularly and keep information up to date on CRM tools (e.g., Sales Force).
• Assume overall responsibility for Total Profit & Loss with assigned accounts.

Candidate Must-Haves:

• Bachelor of Food Science or Chemistry.
• Experience selling food products or ingredients to retailers such as Coles and Woolworths.
