Key Account Manager

About the role
Main tasks: Take ownership of maintaining and expanding relationships with key customers, influencing decision-makers at all levels.

Other tasks:

• Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and developing project strategies
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet account performance objectives and exceed customer expectations
• Lead solution-based outcomes that address customer needs, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
• Maintain market intelligence, monitor competitor activity, and make recommendations for product and service improvements
• Achieve sales quotas, profitability targets, and customer objectives defined by company management
• Contribute to innovation and problem-solving within the business.

What you must have to apply for this role:

• Experience in a sales role, preferably in steel fabrication or construction
• Demonstrable success in providing superior customer service & executing strategy
• Technical aptitude, business acumen, & strong negotiation skills

You will be highly regarded if you also have:

• Previous experience with road authorities, councils, & construction infrastructure
• Understanding of consultative & solution-based selling techniques
• Safety leadership experience or exposure to safety management systems.
