Role Summary:

G&R Wills Wholesalers is a Darwin-based General Variety Wholesaler which services remote Aboriginal and Island Communities in NT, SA, WA, and QLD. We are fortunate to see a country very few have seen before, and it is an amazing opportunity to become part of this family!

 We seek a Key Account Manager based in Darwin to take ownership of our customer relationships in the NT and WA.

The purpose of the Key Account Manager – NT and WA:

- Procure, build, and maintain trade relationships – Partnering with customers through regular contact to aid in placing orders, merchandise advice and general business to ensure continued trade across G&R Wills product portfolio

- Product Knowledge – To be well versed in G&R Wills service and product offering to provide the necessary support and assistance and effectively sell range into retail outlets.

- Analytics and procedure – Analyse sales and commercial outcomes to provide insight into business strategies as well as ensuring attention to detail in processes

Please note that this role will require regular travel to remote communities, F2F sales and extensive telesales sales administration activities.

Having a valid private pilot licence (PPL) is required.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor, deep dive, and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain regular call cycles both face to face and by telephone.
  • Continue to develop proactive solid relationships with our customer base.
  • Process customer orders and credits.
  • Interpret sales data and providing regular feedback on sales area performance.
  • Monitor customers freight movements.
  • Timely execution of Quarterly Objectives and accurate reporting

Business Development

Achieve growth through current and new customer base

  • Contract tenders for Government and Mining
  • Canvas for any new opportunities within current or new markets.

Travel

  • Willingness to travel into remote communities regularly
  • Some absence from home
  • Perform safe journey management

Essential Criteria:

The successful applicant will have to demonstrate the following.

  1. Demonstrate achievement of sales and gross profit targets.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with a customer base.
  3. Operated in an autonomous environment
  4. Demonstrate exceptional telesales and customer support

We will provide tools of the trade and ongoing sales and product training.

Please note this is primarily a Sales Role and not suited for candidates only looking to build flying hours.
