Key Account Manager

Our client is the fastest growing marine and aviation group within Australia with over 20 sites and 350 staff. This has also led to overseas growth due to their dedication to servicing their clients and exceeding expectations. This role will be in the Marine division. Duties will include, but not limited to: 

• Maintaining a strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders as you will be the key point of contact representing the company.
• Consolidating the Freight to ensure that it is accurate and accounted for 
• Loading Road Transport vehicles and Barges ensuring that the weight compacity meets the industry standards.
• Using a forklift safely to move the freight on and off the transport vehicles, barges and storage facility. 
• Reply to client enquires in a timely manner proving quotes and duration estimates. 
• Work closely with the project support team to ensure the communication is up to date and accurate
• Attend site 7 days a month, this will be FIFO or the week. 
• Provide manifests on a daily, weekly and monthly to forward plan and ensure that the freight is forwarded on time

The ideal candidate will: 

• Have experience in a similar role managing clients and building strong rapport 
• Previous experience in transport operations and supervision 
• Great communication skills both verbal and written 
• Able to prioritise and solve problems when they arise. 
• A current HC license is essential as you will be required to move the freight from time to time 
• Forklift license and experience operating forklifts from 5tonn to 40tonn 
• Top lift container experience is highly regarded 
• Strong focus on workplace health and safety
