Adelaide Venue Management Corporation (AVM) operates three of Adelaide’s most iconic and commercially successful event venues - the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC) and Coopers Stadium.
The Role
A rare opportunity has become available at the Adelaide Convention Centre for an experienced, organised, and motivated Kitchen Logistics Manager to join our Main Kitchen Department to manage the back of house Stewarding team.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, your key responsibilities will include:
- Reporting on all variances and re-stocking requirements for equipment stored within the kitchen.
- Assessing all event requirements for cutlery, crockery and glassware and assemble for distribution.
- Managing staff to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of all food preparation and service areas.
- Ensuring all staff are actively coached, trained and mentored towards optimum levels of performance.
- Assisting the Executive Sous Chef in the recruitment, ongoing training, performance management, efficient rostering and timesheet authorisation for the Stewarding team.
This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a large kitchen with state-of-the-art equipment and the opportunity to learn multiple aspects of a large banqueting operations with a global reputation for excellence.
About you
This position will ideally suit a self-managed, well-organised individual who has demonstrated experience in a highly structured, large, multi-outlet industrial / commercial facility - eg large hotel, function centre, catering company, military barracks, or mining camp facility.
