The Role
The Knowledge Management Officer role sits within the Business Optimisation team whose primary purpose is to provide ongoing development and review of Training Force Systems enabling all personnel to deliver outcomes in the most effective manner to achieve Training Force's mission.
The team optimise strategies and practices to find efficient ways of working through improved workflows, frameworks and systems. As the Knowledge Management Officer, you will use your initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.
You will assist to oversee the development, control and management of Knowledge Management systems and tools across all levels of Training Force, using a hands-on, business partnering approach. In this position you will report to the APS6 Knowledge Management Officer and play a key role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of knowledge systems, frameworks and tools with a strong focus on achieving best practice and continuous improvement.
You will assist in driving the automation of the business processes towards ongoing improvement of work practices and Training Force's approach to Knowledge Management. Additionally, you will provide assistance in business process management, automation and policy management within the N Library.
About our Team
The Business Optimisation Team sits within the Deputy Commodore Training Directorate at Navy Training Force Headquarters. The team provides business optimisation services to Training Force to enable timely, efficient and accurate decision-making. The team aims to identify and implement new methods and processes that seek to redesign and streamline, ensuring a continual improvement cycle is in place.
