As we continue to grow and explore global opportunities, we have an exciting opportunity for a casual Laboratory Aide to join our Laboratory department. Shifts are available Monday to Saturday, across the hours of 7am through 8pm. The role is based within our dynamic team environment at our Macquarie Park Head Office.
The Opportunity
Responsibilities include:
- Daily unpacking and receiving of sample collection kits. Accessioning kits in the database and tracking all inbound and referral shipments.
- Preparing pick lists and picking samples for outbound shipments
- Shipment of biological samples under IATA guidelines
- Data entry, troubleshooting shipment and specimen issues
About You
- Qualifications in Laboratory Techniques, Healthcare or Science
- Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting
- Time management and organisational skills
- Strong Microsoft applications skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Commitment to high quality work and customer service
- Self-motivated, with a high attention to detail, ability to be flexible, and a willingness to display initiative
- Prepared to handle human biological samples, liquid nitrogen and dry ice
