We offer our customers flexible, market-driven laboratory services that analyse a wide range of products in the field of foodstuffs, animal feed, compound feed and (bio) fuels. We are highly experienced in chemical analysis and microbiological analysis. The laboratory provides quality and safety verification of agricultural soft commodities for the domestic and international import and export markets.
Our laboratory operates under the strict guidelines of NATA ISO 17025 and proficiency testing programs of various industry bodies.

About the Role
Laboratory Analysts work in all aspects of the laboratory from sample preparation to carrying out wet chemistry and instrumental analysis with an emphasis on quality outcomes. The successful candidate will be required to support the team and company with strong technical capabilities in analysis, instrument maintenance, method development, training, and accurate administrative reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sample receipt and preparation - weighing, splitting, milling, packing, and packaging, and distribution.
- Analysis of samples as received by the laboratory using standard and instrumental methods.
- General laboratory duties including data entry and associated paperwork and in house maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Logging new jobs; issuing sample requests and inspection requests.
- Check/Assess, prepare and report laboratory analysis results to clients.
- Drafting and issuance of certificates to customers.
- Invoicing and invoice checking support where needed.
- Assist customers and colleagues with enquiries relating to job status and technical matters.
- Liaise with relevant personnel on sample dispatch commitments to ensure that samples are dispatched and received on time.
- Ensure that data is up to date, correct and secure. This relates to CRM, LIMS and Job/BSM Log
About You
- Degree or equivalent qualification in chemistry, microbiology, or agricultural science.
- Experience in analysis of all agri products will be strongly favoured.
- The ability to work to company Management System Standards, maintaining appropriate documentation etc.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team to provide consistent, successful outcomes.
- Ability to manage with heavy workload periods and be able to prioritise work and be well organised.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for report writing and administration.
- Mature, self-driven, and proactive individual.
- Strong and proactive customer service skills, with attention to detail and presentation.
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders on all levels, excellent communications skills and be able to work closely and harmoniously with a small team.
- Should have appropriate computer skills and be able to work in Microsoft Word and Excel as a minimum.
