Lab Assistant Grade 2 IV8 – Grade 3 IV9 depending on experience.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Laboratory Assistant to join our Central Specimen Reception within Austin Pathology to fill a permanent full time position. Central Specimen Reception operates a 24 hour service, 7 days a week. The successful candidate must be willing and available to work any time on a rotating roster across the 7 days.
About the role
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate/Key responsibilities will include:
Laboratory experience ideal but not essential
Ability to enter data accurately
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Able to respond to enquiries for information on laboratory procedures or results
A strong work ethic
Exceptional organisation and customer service skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to assist and support change
Ability to work a rotating roster
