The Laboratory Technical Assistant performs routine testing and analysis on raw materials and products to the required specifications. You will be required to multi-task, having the ability to undertake several analyses simultaneously.
Responsibilities include:
Identifying sample types and preparing for testing.
Carrying out routine analysis and testing.
Prepare standard solutions; perform routine calibrations and standardisations.
Record raw data and results to NATA standards.
Maintain records and inventories of chemicals, glassware etc
Maintain records and stored Laboratory reference samples.
Use the Laboratory computer system for data entry and retrieval.
Maintain an adequate supply of clean and dry sample containers for facility use.
About You
Minimum year 12 in Chemistry or equivalent.
Any experience with Laboratory calibrations and standardisation procedures.
Laboratory quality control techniques.
Experience in a chemical laboratory environment
Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Email
Operates under the direct supervision of the Technical Officer but is responsible for ensuring quality of own work.
