Technical Assistant - NICU

About the role:
This role consists of maintaining clean equipment ready for use in NICU.
You will provide support for Nursing staff as directed by the Nursing Unit Manager or In-Charge Nurse.
Assisting in maintaining stock and stores levels in NICU to ensure adequate levels of non-stock items and notify the Equipment Officer of any re-stocking or required orders.

- The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at John Hunter Children’s Hospital in beautiful Newcastle, is one of the largest and busiest NICU’s in NSW. This 44 bed unit provides Intensive Care support for newborns requiring medical and surgical care in the HNE and Mid North Coast area.
- You will join a dynamic, dedicated, passionate team of Health Professionals who provide evidenced based care, individualised care to promote and provide the best possible outcome for neonates, in a state-of-the-art Unit, with the latest healthcare technology.

About you:
- You will need an awareness of Infection, Prevention and Control.
- You will be confident to manage and prioritise workloads.
- You will have the ability to liaise with the various multi-disciplinary teams within the unit.
- You will be available to work a 7 days roster.
