Address Mackay Regional Council is currently seeking a skilled and details-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our Water Treatment team which pride themselves on innovation, quality, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the Mackay Region.
About this opportunity:
As a key member of our team, you will work at our state-of-the-art Water and Waste Scientific and Analytical Services laboratory located at Connors Road Paget. This is a permanent full-time position with great benefits. The key tasks of the role are to conduct sampling, chemical, and microbiological testing of water and wastewater samples within our NATA-accredited laboratory.
Requirements:
Possess a formal qualification in laboratory work, such as Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or an equivalent.
Hold a current “C” class driver’s licence.
Demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
Have practical experience in routine sampling and analysis techniques.
Candidates with previous analytical experience in inorganic or organic chemistry will be highly desirable.
Our Salary Package:
$66,967 base salary with allowances
Choose 4 or 5 weeks' leave + 17.5% loading
