Are you ready to be at the forefront of innovation in construction materials? Join our Bridgewater Laboratory Team as a Laboratory/Field Technician. You will be working in a NATA accredited laboratory to support high standards of testing for Boral's own Concrete and Quarry products and our external customers.
This role reports to the Technical Manager and involves undertaking tasks in relation to sampling, testing, physical analysis, maintenance of records, and accurate reporting of results for our concrete and quarry products and services.
Your day will involve:
- Conducting on-site and laboratory-based quality testing by following work instructions and test methods for concrete and quarry products
- Liaising with technical, production and sales staff regarding customer requirements
- Involvement in product development and trials
- Maintenance of the laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirements
- Adhering to the requirements of Boral's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
- Experience or interest in quality control testing of concrete and quarry material products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with basic computer systems required and experience with LIMS is highly regarded
- Experience with ISO17025 and/or GLP will be highly regarded but not essential
- Further education in science related field highly regarded but not essential
- Current drivers' licence and flexibility to travel to customer sites as required (including regional)
- Flexibility to work overtime and Saturday as and when required
- Possess a positive and high regard for safety, policies and procedures
