Laboratory Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our client, an Australian Green Energy & Technology Materials company based in Perth. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting various analytical tests and maintaining the Lab to support the advancement of research & development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lab operations with knowledge and experience in the chemistry field. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing Australian company focused on the development of technology materials and green energy, supporting the transition to a renewable economy.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialised laboratory tests on mineral samples and products;
• Maintain accurate records of test results and lab procedures, ensuring data integrity;
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and reliable measurements;
• Assist in the development and implementation of new testing methods and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of results;
• Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and solve problems related to laboratory activities;
• Maintain strict safety protocols and procedures to minimise the risk of accidents and injuries in the laboratory;
• Contribute to ongoing research and development projects aimed at advancing in-house technologies and products.

Required Experience:

• Qualified with a Diploma of Laboratory Technology or similar;
• Previous experience working as a Laboratory Technician in mining or relevant mineral testing or inspection agencies;
• Proficiency in various laboratory techniques and associated instrumentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in laboratory operations.
