Laboratory Training Program Developer

This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Training Program Developer to join our client on a 14-month labour-hire basis. In this pivotal role, you will use your Learning and Development (L&D) and project management background to design, develop and implement a Training Program to support functions delivered by the Science and Surveillance Group in collaboration with laboratory users and management. The role involves travel Australia wide for a few days every month or two to attend national strategic meetings. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Identifying training needs across business areas and defining learning objectives
• Designing and developing an implementation plan and a Training Program which meets department policy, budget, delivery times, etc
• Liaising with subject matter experts to coordinate the development of training documentation
• Validating training material against workplace needs
• Reviewing existing training materials to design new training products and courses

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing effective Training Programs, preferably in a laboratory setting with regulatory functions
• Highly developed knowledge of adult learning principles, frameworks and contemporary L&D practice and theory
• Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and develop clear, concise and logically sequenced learning and development programs
• Experience in collaborating and engaging with stakeholders at all levels and supporting them through change
