The Position
An opportunity has arisen for a reliable, mechanically minded Yard Labourer to join our team. Your key responsibilities will include:
Yard / Workshop
- Operating on site forklift
- General clean up and yard duties
- Maintaining workshop, including housekeeping, tools & equipment
Vehicles and Maintenance
- Changing tyres
- Vehicle detailing
- Minor maintenance work on trucks (change globes, mudflaps, reflectors, guards, head lights) under the guidance and supervision of Fleet Maintenance Manager
- Minor body work
- General maintenance on plant and infrastructure located on site
- Occasional driving duties
- Call outs/breakdowns
Parts
- Picking up parts
- Delivering parts/goods
This position will report through to the Mechanic. Hours are 9am to 6pm 5 days a week with reasonable overtime when required.
Requirements for the Position
In order to be successful in this position, you will need to have:
- C drivers license (essential)
- High risk work license - Forklift (essential)
- HR license not essential but highly advantageous
- Positive attitude and desire for continuous improvement.
- Professionalism in representing the company to key stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
