This role presents as a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and work within an established team environment. Our client is a successful food manufacturer with a reputation for being at the forefront of their industry. The role is based in their Head Office in Melbourne's outer South-East suburbs.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Matching, coding, and processing a volume of approximately 30-50 invoices daily
- Performing three-way matching to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained prior to invoice processing
- Scheduling payment runs and completing supplier statement reconciliations
- Supporting month-end processes and ensuring AP close deadlines are met
- Engaging in problem-solving to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Managing Accounts Payable inboxes, effectively addressing vendor inquiries
- Liaising effectively with internal teams, including marketing and sales, and partnering with the offshore Accounts Payable team
- Assisting with relevant ad hoc projects
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Experience within an Accounts Payable position, familiarity with three-way matching and payment run preparation is advantageous
- A proven aptitude for problem-solving and a high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency with a widely used ERP system such as Business Central, SAP, Oracle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work on-site in Melbourne's South-East suburbs
