Landscape Estimator

JMAC Constructions, a wholly owned subsidiary of the BMD Group, specialises in all aspects of landscape construction including residential, commercial, industrial, public infrastructure, environmental rehabilitation and long term care and maintenance. From street scapes, boardwalks, public structures, stone entry statements, playgrounds and parklands, JMAC has the ability to successfully construct and create unique landscapes of all shapes and forms.

About the role

Due to significant growth opportunities in the division, Jmac are in the market for a Landscape Estimatorto price a range of diverse landscape projects in Melbourne, Victoria based in our Hallam Office. 

Estimating projects in:

• Land development - (Landscape works for Residential and Industrial Sub-divisions).
• Maintenance and Public Infrastructure.
• Streetscapes and walkways.
• Commercial infrastructure.

Desired Skills and experience include:

• 1-4 years + experience in Construction industry
• Sound knowledge and experience with civil/landscape earthworks
• Experience in using expert estimation would be advantageous 
• A mix of project and estimating experience is ideal
• First principle estimating experience.
• Development of subcontractor work packages and review.
• Desired landscape experience

Core Responsibilities 

• Build Expert Libraries for use in tendering
• Negotiate Pricing/Rates 
• Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities within the tender
• Seek competitive contractor quotations 
• Attend tender meetings 
• Seek and engage new clients, contacts and suppliers
